• HAPPY 2012 FROM SPALDING WATER POLO!

Hello all, hope you've had a good christmas and new year and a raring to go for some water polo goodness. This is a general update for you to get your teeth into.

Training is now back underway in normal fashion, and this Saturday sees the inaugral Awards Evening for club members and their families. This is going to be an amazing evening to celebrate the achievements of our club. It goes without saying (but I'm going to say it anyway!) that we have done extremely well to stay buoyant (awful water based joke, I'm so sorry) and whilst clubs around the area have been or are folding, we are going from strength to strength. This is in no small part down to the hard work of people like Ben, Sarah, Nick and Jack, getting us fixtures, organising team kit, controlling our finances, and running our youth squad. Big thanks guys (and lady!)

I'd also like to take this opportunity to raise my own agenda. On July 1st of this year I am aiming to finish the Outlaw triathlon. This is a huge challenge and so I am trying to raise a bit of moolah for charity. You can read more at www.justgiving.com/Adam-Sellars Please do have a looksie :)

So lads, lets ditch those christmas bellies and get back into the swing of things. Plenty of matches left for us to dominate. Lets make 2012 our year.

    Polo love,

    Adam
